Train - Krimml - Maishofen

Special notes on the route You follow the Tauern cycle path exclusively. The day's stage is mostly flat along the Salzach river to Lake Zell and then on to Maishofen. A shuttle bus runs from Krimml railway station to the waterfalls, which also transports the bikes (costs approx. € 2). The ascent by bike to the waterfalls is relatively arduous, as you have to cycle steadily uphill. The route can be shortened by getting off the train in Mittersill or Bramberg, for example.
