Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Biking Route

The Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Route was originally plotted by the Adventure Cycling Association.

The route traverses the gorgeous mountains of central Idaho and passes by some 30 hot springs.

The riding can be rough, and most people do the route with lightly loaded panniers or a bikepacking set-up.

We did it fully-loaded, so it's definitely possible but you'll have to work hard on the many climbs,

Services are limited so definitely pack a tent and at least a couple of days food supply at all times.  Water is plentiful along most stretches of the route.

High passes may not be cleared of snow until mid-June so don't plan on riding the Hot Springs route in late spring.

Early fall could be a very pleasant time for riding the loop.
