Hoogaarden - Leuven

This route is part of my "Paris - Amsterdam (Benjaminse)" route collection that covers a ~690 km route between Paris and Amsterdam. It connects to the "Dinant - Outgaarden" route in the same route collection. We rode this route during a rainy day (July 1st, 2017). The "official" Benjaminse route follows an unpaved track through "Het Ronsel" (see map). This path was a mud pool with lots of wet low-hanging tree branches and impossible to ride. A local pointed us at an alternate, paved route that we followed successfully and that merged back to the Benjaminse after about 1.5 km. This route has been updated accordingly.

The route includes a few other stretches of unpaved paths and some cobblestone roads. Not great when it's wet, but not a real problem.
