Romania-TransAlpina-Best Parts

This is the best part of the TransAlpina. It is killer climbing but easier from north to south than from south to north. The switchback turns are extremely sharp and steep approaching from the south, especially the inside of the turn making keeping your balance a challenge. There are three false summits with major drops and climbs in between. Highly recommend planning a night stay in Ranca. Plan for extreem cold, wet, foggy possibilities. Road is smoothly paved two lane wide with no shoulder. Traffic did drive cautiously. Lots of motorcyclists!
