F352 Ypres–Leffinge Cycle Highway

Fast, mostly flat link across West Flanders from historic Ypres (Ieper) to Leffinge in Middelkerke, close to the North Sea. About 36 km end to end, signed as F352.

Expect long paved stretches with a mix of dedicated cycleways and quiet local roads, plus a few busier connectors near towns. Surfaces are largely asphalt with the odd concrete patch, so it rolls quickly. Elevation is almost nothing, but the coastal wind can add a little challenge.

Start by rolling out of Ypres’ WWI heritage and open fields, then ride through classic polder landscape toward the coast. In Leffinge you’re just a short spin from Middelkerke’s beach if you want to extend the day.

Good for commuters and a relaxed day ride alike. Rideable year-round; bring lights for the busier sections and at dusk. Wayfinding is straightforward—just follow F352.

Pro tip: go Ypres → coast for an easy tailwind on typical westerly days; flip it when the breeze turns easterly.
