Good route in general. First 20 miles are 2 lane country roads with light traffic. The worst section is between Colbert and Comer. Road shoulder is very rough and thick with pot holes. Heavy traffic and gets a little tight in spots with only one lane in each direction. Between Comer and Elberton there are very few options for food and liquid so make sure to have what you need. The road widens out and the traffic lightens on this section with several river crossings so a fair amount of up and down through here. The stretch from Elberton to Richard B Russell State Park is pretty and peaceful.
