Jednodniowa wycieczka rowerowa z Douliu do Chiayi City

Set out from Douliu, the lively heart of Yunlin County, and wind your way south to historic Chiayi City. This ~46 km route is perfect for anyone who loves rural Taiwan—with mostly quiet and access roads, and almost no busy stretches, you’ll really be able to soak up the countryside.

The ride is generally gentle, topping out at just under 150 meters elevation. You’ll climb and descend a bit (around 330–350 meters up and down), but nothing too punishing—just enough to keep things interesting as you move past small villages, rice paddies, and orchards. Expect stretches where the road surface varies—partly smooth asphalt, partly unlisted or rural lanes—so a hybrid or sturdy road bike will serve you well.

Finish up in Chiayi City, famed as the gateway to Alishan and known for its delicious turkey rice. After your ride, grab a bowl and check out the historic railway station or relax in one of the city’s leafy parks. A great day in Taiwan’s heartland!
