Jednodniowa wycieczka rowerowa z Zhubei do Daxi

If you’re up for a satisfying day ride, try pedaling from Zhubei to Daxi—about 48 kilometers of classic Taiwan cycling, with a good mix of quiet rural roads and some surprising elevation gains (you’ll climb over 700 meters!). Zhubei, just north of Hsinchu, is a modern hub with a cool mix of tech and local culture, while Daxi (in Taoyuan) is famous for its charming old street and historic wooden furniture shops.

Most of the route winds along tranquil roads, making for a peaceful escape from city hustle. You’ll hit a few longer climbs, cresting near 394 meters, so make sure your legs (and your gears) are ready! Surfaces are mostly paved, but be prepared for the occasional patch of gravel or rougher road, especially in more rural bits.

When you reach Daxi, reward yourself with some tasty tofu or stroll along the old street to soak up the atmosphere. All in all, it’s a great route for intermediate cyclists craving a mix of scenery, history, and a bit of a workout!
