Spin from San Vicent del Raspeig down to seaside Alicante on an easy, mostly downhill 10 km ride. You’ll roll out from the university town that hosts the University of Alicante and glide southeast toward the coast, with roughly half the route on dedicated cycleways and most of the rest on quiet streets. Expect mainly smooth, paved surfaces with a few short path bits as you near the city.

As the elevation drops from around 100+ m to sea level, the skyline opens up to the Mediterranean and the Castillo de Santa Bárbara perched above the harbor. It’s a relaxed link between campus life and the coast: great for a breezy commute or a quick urban escape.

Finish up in Alicante with a coffee along the palm-lined Explanada de España, a wander around the port, or a dip at Playa del Postiguet. Keep an eye out for pedestrians and paving stones near the center, but otherwise it’s a straightforward cruise.
