This ride takes you on a classic Scottish journey from Glasgow to Edinburgh, covering a little over 93 km — perfect for a solid day in the saddle! Starting in Glasgow, Scotland's largest city and renowned for its Victorian architecture and lively arts scene, you'll quickly swap urban streets for more peaceful paths, mostly sticking to dedicated cycleways and quiet roads all the way to the capital.

The route is mostly paved (about 80%), so it’s friendly for most bikes, with just a touch of gravel and unpaved surfaces. There’s a gentle overall ascent (under 500 meters — very doable!), and you’ll top out at just over 200 meters elevation, which means rolling hills but nothing brutal.

You’ll pass through some charming towns and plenty of scenic countryside before arriving in Edinburgh, famous for its historic Old Town, the imposing castle, and those enchanting cobbled streets.
