Get ready for a scenic ride from Nauders to Mals! This 29.5 km journey starts in the charming Austrian village of Nauders, nestled right at the Reschen Pass, where Austria, Italy, and Switzerland meet. The area is famous for its fortress and as a gateway to the classic Via Claudia Augusta cycling route.

From Nauders, you'll follow mostly quiet roads (over 50%!) and tracks, with a bit of cycleway, letting you soak up stunning alpine views without much traffic. It’s mostly smooth going, as the surface is predominantly paved or asphalt, with just a brief flirt with gravel or unpaved sections.

Be prepared for a real descent: you'll drop over 1000 meters down towards the lovely town of Mals in South Tyrol. The route also has about 600 meters of climbing, so there’s a bit of a workout along the way. Once in Mals, take a breather and explore its Romanesque churches and sunny valley vibe – it’s a perfect end to an epic cross-border spin.
