Get ready for a fun city-to-suburb ride! Starting right in the heart of Brussels, you’ll pedal east through lively neighborhoods, cruising on a nice mix of cycleways and quiet roads – over 85% of the route is paved, so your tires will love it. You’ll catch some city sights before climbing gently out of Brussels (with about 150 meters of total ascent, nothing too crazy), making your way toward the peaceful residential streets of Wezembeek-Oppem.

Brussels is famous for its impressive squares, Art Nouveau architecture, and that ever-quirky Manneken Pis, while your destination – Wezembeek-Oppem – is a leafy, calm town popular with families and expats.

Expect mostly smooth asphalt much of the way, plus a little adventure as you roll over concrete and paving stones here and there. It’s around 15 km, so great for a leisurely afternoon or speedy commute. Bonus: since nearly half the ride is along dedicated cycle paths, it’s both safe and chill.
