This relaxed cycling route takes you from the charming town of Radebeul, famous for its vineyards and connections to Karl May (the legendary adventure author), all the way into Dresden’s historic Albertstadt district. It’s a gentle 16 km ride, mostly flat with only around 76 meters of ascent—just enough to keep it interesting, but not too tough on the legs.

You’ll set off along quiet roads and smooth cycleways, cruising past Radebeul’s picturesque houses and perhaps catching glimpses of the nearby Elbe River. The route is almost entirely paved, with a comfortable mix of asphalt and some stretches of classic paving stones to add a little character but nothing unfriendly to your tires.

Once you roll into Albertstadt, you’ll find yourself in an area known for its military history—the old barracks and grand buildings hint at its past as a garrison town. These days, it’s much more laid-back, with museums, creative hubs, and easy connections to Dresden’s bustling city center. Perfect for a leisurely outing with a splash of culture at both ends!
