This cycling route starts in the lively district of Altona, known for its multicultural vibe, cool cafes, and its riverside park with views over the Elbe. You’ll ride just over 11 km toward the heart of Hamburg—a city famous for its historic port, buzzing Speicherstadt, and modern harborside development.

The journey is mostly on quiet roads and paved surfaces, so you can expect a smooth and relaxed ride. There's a gentle climb here and there, but with more descent than ascent, your legs won’t mind too much! Roughly one-fifth of the ride will take you along leafy paths and through some pedestrian-friendly areas, adding a green touch to the cityscape.
