From there, you’ll immediately start climbing on a road that’s as legendary as it is challenging, with more than 1200 meters of ascent over roughly 17.5 kilometers.

Your journey winds up the lower slopes of the Col du Télégraphe, a frequent feature in the Tour de France. Expect mostly good asphalt under your wheels, but do prepare for some rougher patches and a little gravel, especially as you rise higher. The climb is steady, with long sections on a busy alpine road, but the scenery is spectacular: pine forests, stone tunnels, and hairpins overlooking the valley.
