This is a lovely, easy ride along the north coast of Île de Ré, starting in the picturesque harbor village of La Flotte and ending in the fortified town of Saint-Martin-de-Ré. The route is just under 4 km and mostly flat, making it great for a leisurely outing or a family ride.

You’ll roll along mostly well-paved cycle paths, with the occasional stretch of smooth cobblestone to give you some classic island charm. Expect beautiful sea views, salt marshes, and maybe even the scent of fresh oysters as you pedal through.

La Flotte is known for its vibrant daily market and historic port, perfect for a pre-ride coffee. At the other end, Saint-Martin-de-Ré boasts impressive Vauban fortifications (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), loads of cafés, and charming narrow streets to explore.
