Jednodniowa wycieczka rowerowa z Pilismarót do Pilisszentkereszt

This ride starts in Pilismarót, a peaceful village on the banks of the Danube, popular with kayakers and campers. From there, you’ll pedal south, gradually climbing into the lush Pilis Hills. It’s mostly a quiet road route (about 94%), so you can soak in the forest scenery and enjoy the fresh air—plus, almost the entire route is smooth asphalt, making for an easy roll.

But don’t be fooled, it’s a real leg-burner: you’ll climb over 770 meters! The uphill is worth it, though, especially as you reach near the route’s highest point at around 580 meters, with panoramic views over the valleys. After a swift descent, you’ll arrive in Pilisszentkereszt, a historic village with a special vibe—it's a gateway for hiking in the Pilis and known for its Slovak heritage and hearty local cuisine.

All in all, this is a rewarding 20 km ride for anyone up for a scenic challenge in the heart of the Hungarian hills. Don’t forget to stop for a pastry or two at your destination!
