This ride takes you from the charming Adriatic town of Poreč in Croatia all the way up to Muggia, a picturesque Italian port just past Trieste. You'll cover about 87 km, so it’s a solid day out on the bike—bring snacks and comfy shorts!

Leaving Poreč, known for its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica and lively waterfront, you'll wind your way along mostly paved, peaceful roads (over two-thirds paved, and a third are really quiet backroads). There are some gravel bits (about 11%) and the occasional unpaved stretch, so a touring or gravel bike is a good idea.

Rolling north, you’ll weave through olive groves, vineyards, and classic Istrian villages. You’ll climb and descend a bit (nearly 950 meters up and down total) but luckily, the highest point is only around 150 meters.

As you cross the border into Italy, the last stretch brings you into Muggia—a colorful, historic town with Venetian charm and seaside vibes. The perfect spot for a post-ride gelato or a breezy espresso by the harbor.
