Ready for a ride from the hills of Saint-Roman down to the buzzing city of Nice? This route is a fantastic mix of adventure and scenery, perfect if you want a bit of everything. You’ll start up in Saint-Roman, with those incredible views over the French Riviera, before working your way west towards Nice.

Expect around 30 km of varied terrain: about half the ride is on quiet roads, but you’ll hit some tracks and a bit of gravel here and there, so wider tires are a good idea. There’s a solid climb early on (over 1300 meters up!), but plenty of rewarding descents to follow. Parts of the route feel remote and peaceful, and then suddenly you’re rolling into the vibrant cityscape of Nice — a great place to recharge at one of the beachside cafés.

Saint-Roman is nestled close to the legendary perched village of La Turbie, and Nice is, of course, the capital of the Côte d’Azur, famous for its Promenade des Anglais and colorful old town. So, whether you’re into hairpin mountain roads or lively Mediterranean vibes at the finish, this route delivers both.
