This route is a relaxed cross-border ride linking the historic German city of Aachen with the Dutch charm of Maastricht—two of the most vibrant towns in the region! You’ll pedal just under 36 km, starting from Aachen, famous for its soaring cathedral and university buzz, cruising mostly on paved paths and dedicated cycleways (over half the ride is on cycle paths!).

The ride is mostly gentle, with a bit of climbing as you leave Aachen before a nice descent towards the Maas valley. You’ll cross rolling countryside, small border villages, and likely spot a mix of locals and weekend riders.
