This cycling route takes you from the lively district of Santiago de Surco all the way to the historic port area of Callao—a great way to see a big cross-section of Lima! Starting in Surco, a neighborhood known for its parks and shopping centers, you’ll mostly cruise on paved surfaces (with some nice stretches of dedicated cycleway). The ride is pretty flat, with a gentle overall descent as you head towards the coast.

You'll pass through bustling urban landscapes and quieter roads, a true taste of Lima’s diversity. The last leg brings you into Callao, famous as Peru’s main seaport and for its colorful colonial architecture and street art. With about 30 kilometers to cover, it’s a longer trip, but there are plenty of spots to stop, refuel, and take in the scenery. Just keep your wits about you, especially in areas where the cycleway transitions to quieter streets. Pack some snacks and enjoy the ride—finishing by the ocean is always a treat!
