Roll out from Bascov and cruise southeast toward Pitești on a mostly quiet, low-traffic mix of backroads. It’s about 15 km with gentle rollers (around 150 m of climbing), topping out near 340 m—nothing too steep, just a few short ups and downs.

Surfaces are mostly paved/asphalt, but expect a couple of brief unpaved or gravel bits; wider tires will feel comfy there. There are short stretches on busier roads—keep an eye out—otherwise it’s a relaxed spin with some tracks and paths sprinkled in.

Bascov is known for the Bascov–Budeasa regatta course on the Argeș, a venue for major canoe-kayak events. As you near Pitești, you’ll glide into the Argeș County capital, famous for its spring Tulip Symphony festival and leafy Trivale Park. Perfect spot to wrap up with a coffee in the center or a cool-down loop under the trees.

Tip: lights and a bell help when transitioning from quiet lanes to city streets.
