Jednodniowa wycieczka rowerowa z Azuga do Săcele

This cycling route takes you from the mountain town of Azuga, well-known for its ski slopes and crisp alpine air, all the way to Săcele, a scenic gateway to the hills just outside Brașov. The route stretches over 34 kilometers and is definitely one for adventure-seekers, with nearly a kilometer of climbing and long descents that top out at 1,564 meters elevation.

You'll be rolling across a real variety of surfaces—expect plenty of gravel tracks, forest paths, and a fair bit of unpaved ground, so wider tires or a gravel bike will feel right at home. Only about a fifth of the ride is on tarmac, and you won’t have to deal with much traffic; most of your time will be spent on tranquil tracks and quiet roads through dense Carpathian woodland.

As you approach Săcele, catch your breath and enjoy the mountain views—Săcele itself is a historic town with strong multicultural roots and a cozy atmosphere, ideal for refueling with local food. Pack snacks and water, this is a wild and beautiful ride!
