This ride starts out in Selcetta, a peaceful Roman suburb tucked just south of the city—a perfect place to warm up before heading into the buzz of central Rome. The route rolls north for about 27 km, guiding you onto a nice mix of quiet roads and cycleways, with just the occasional taste of city traffic as you get closer to your destination.

Most of the surfaces are friendly for city and hybrid bikes, since more than half the ride is paved, with a decent chunk on smooth asphalt. There's the promise of a few gentle climbs (about 270 meters of ascent in all), but nothing too wild—just enough to remind you you’re not in pancake-flat territory!

As you approach Rome proper, the landscape shifts from tranquil outskirts to the timeless, busy streets of Italy’s iconic capital.
