Little Falls NY to Rome NY

This was one crazy day for weather. After watching snow from our hotel window, we happily ventured out when there was sun and temperatures in the mid-30s. Soon thereafter, we were in a heavy snow storm with snow starting to stick on the sides of the path, but fortunately not on the path. For the next few hours, we had bouts of sunshine followed by periods of sleet and a lot of hail.

The bulk of this route is on the excellent paved pathway of the Empire State Trail/Erie Canalway Trail. Just a few miles near the end was on a hard packed unpaved surface. which was no problem to ride on.

For scenery, this ride was excellent.
