El Colegio, La Victoria, circuit.

Beginning at Mesitas del Colegio, Cundinamarca, head toward Bogotá on the main road, climbing steadily, and turn toward La Victoria after passing through Pradilla and through Bella Vista (not called Vancouver, as found on this map), and passing the zoo. The turn off to La Victoria comes at the point of  a leftward hairpin bend where most traffic continues leftward toward Tequendama Falls, Soacha, and Bogotá. Take that right hand turn instead and head toward La Victoria along an easy road. At La Victoria turn right when you see the church, turn right again, and take a rocky dirt road, with some somewhat paved sections downward all the way to El Prado (an open-air shop where people drink beer). There you will see the main road and turn right, to head back into Mesitas, El Colegio.

While riding toward La Victoria you will see spectacular cliffs on the south side (mountains) and the Bogotá River valley to the north, with another set of mountains on the other side, which also has a  substantial town sitting on a mesa formation, named La Mesa.
