The heart of this ride is the D 279, between the hill out of Carces and the Abbey de Thoronet. When turning right at the Abbey back toward Cabasse and the Lac de Carces, there is stiff little climb of about 2 KM. Now that section of road has been repaved, and it is much easier to make that climb, than before. Go for the ride through the valley along the D 279. It is incredibly beautiful.
