Vammen Camping Bicycle Route 1 Pederstrup-Hvolris

This scenic 28 km round-trip route starts and ends at Vammen Camping and takes you through the beautiful rolling countryside of Central Jutland. Along the way, you’ll pass through the hilly Pederstrup Bakker with sweeping views over the Skals River Valley, and visit several points of historical and natural interest.

Highlights include a small Romanesque church with ancient gravestones, a protected area with remnants of medieval sunken roads, and Hvolris Iron Age Village – an archaeological site with preserved remains of settlements and constructions from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. You'll also pass the historic Løvel Bridge ruins and the old Hersom brickworks.
