Papago Park Mountain Biking

Papago Park is a regional park that is mostly in Phoenix, but also part of Tempe, Arizona. The map location generated by Bikemap as Paradise Valley is not correct, it is Phoenix.

The Desert Botanical Gardens, Phoenix Zoo, Hole in the Rock, and lakes are within the park boundary.

The trails at Papago Park are a combination of fun single track and paved walking paths. You can bike all single track routes or take a combination of the two options. There are tracks that run around the edges of the park that are flat and tracks that go near the buttes to give yourself some challenging uphill trails. There is parking onsite if you are traveling to the park and a restaurant along the trail system (Lou’s Bar & Grill). Bike as little or long as you want to enjoy a mix of climbs and descents in this urban desert park. You will see various cacti, creosote bushes, and even a coyote which keeps the rabbit population under control.
