Helgeland Route 11 Vega - Herøy - Dønna - Sandnessjøen

From Vega you take the expressboat to Herøy and bikes so on to Dønna (The expressboat goes directly to Herøy, not as the map shows, over to Tjøtta. The total distance is 142 km, not 165 km). On this route, you can experience the idyllic country roads, white sandy beaches, birdlife, mausoleum, magnificent churches and the mountains The Seven Sisters. From Bjørn on Dønna you take the ferry over to Sandnessjøen. Return to Brønnøysund runs along the National Cycle Route 1 from Sandnessjøen via Tjøtta, Vevelstad and Horn.
