After starting mtb riding in 2006 i was left paralyzed from the neck down due to a severe vehicle collision in 2008. The causing driver was never found and left the scene of the accident. After spending time at the fantastic orthopedic hospital at Gobowen i spent a number of months and years recovering and getting on with life in general, Growing family, of which i love all of them dearly, getting old, putting on weight, smoking, drinking, poor diet, stress etc etc. NOW its 2016 my 10 year anniversary into mtb riding and its starting pretty ok up to now. Having the Llandegla MTB centre on our doorstep i found myself there 3 times this week and will hopefully make it a 5 day week asap to bring on my training, skills and fitness. In preparation i have Stopped smoking, Stopped drinking "well almost on the drinking" Stopped red meat and still trying to cut out 99% of chocolates & sweets etc. What i have learnt in the last ten years is that we are blessed with life and lucky to survive against all the odds in certain circumstances so try and make the most of what you have no matter how pointless it may seem on times its always worth going for it. Im a great preacher by the way so please do as i say not as i do ! Im off for a beer and a fag lol Just kidding. ENJOY PEOPLE
