Hi there

few words about me - even I have a FS 29er, I consider myself as an tourist. I like to discover new routes, actually to create new (GPX) routes via online maps a then strictly check them out in real, properly, and then share them.

Nowadays the navigation devices are OK, even a cheapest one can have a TBT (turn by turn) navigation, which is very useful. This time I use almost perfect cycling maps of Mapy.cz, Cykloatlas.cz and Openstreetmaps and combine them. A have a entry level Garmin Edge 30 device with TBT and I am OK with that. I figured out how to run TBT - I create a GPX route in Mapy.cz (set routing properties to "by foot"), import GPX to Garmin Connect and then save the route to the device itself. I did my homework and this method (incl. TBT) works almost perfect. I had experience with Dakota 20. Whatever (GPX) route you create in whatever online platform, you have to filter that via Garmin Connect and then send it to the device. I virtually tried out most of online maps and devices as well, tried out some smart watches as well, so far I am OK, I need TBT for sure.

I like to visit bikeparks, already have been in Bikearena Vsetin (CZ), Rychlebske stezky (CZ) and Jedovnice (CZ). I like a tiny Cyklopark Myslocovice (CZ). In 2017-2019 I commuted to work by bike 2 times per 30 km during winter as well (8000km/y). However I prefer to get lost in ordinary countryside and do some exciting exploration.

I speak HU, SK, EN, CZ. Because of my work I live in different places in Central Europe so I do my bike stuff here and there. If time allows I definitely enjoy mechanic work as well.
