Friedensroute Münster–Osnabrück

Ride the classic link between Münster and Osnabrück, the two cities of the Peace of Westphalia. This collection follows the Friedensroute across gentle countryside, quiet village roads, and park-like paths. Expect mostly smooth asphalt and other paved surfaces, with a few short gravel or cobbled bits in historic centers—fine for touring, hybrid, or gravel bikes.

Highlights along the way: Münster’s old town and Schloss, Osnabrück’s historic town hall, moated estates, cafés, and plenty of Münsterland scenery. The route is generally flat to slightly rolling and keeps you on calm roads and paths most of the time, with the odd busier crossing.
