Greymouth to Hokitika TA

Roll out from Greymouth on the West Coast Wilderness Trail, following the Tasman Sea and boardwalks through wetlands before turning inland. It’s mostly gravel and quiet roads, with gentle climbs adding up over the day. Snack stops in Kumara are handy, and the finish drops you into Hokitika—famous for pounamu, beaches, and big sunsets. Around 80 km with plenty of scenery and tidy trail surfaces. If you’ve got legs left, detour to Lake Kaniere or hit the bakery first.
