Über diese Route

A nice ride on quiet roads. Through rich grazing country with some woodland, and a chance to see some wildlife. Best done anti clockwise: the gradients are kinder. From Guyra take Llangothlin Rd on the western side of the railway. This is a very pleasant road with virtually no traffic. You will need to come back on to the highway briefly at Llangothlin. At Ben Lomond take Moredun Road, which is clearly signposted. When you get to the Tingha road you will see more traffic, but this road is quite wide with good visibility. The climb back up to Guyra is steady and not too steep. There are no facilities at Ben Lomond or Wandsworth. If the coffee shops in the main street are closed when you get back to Guyra, Rafters on the highway is open longer hours.
