Yagoona West to Sunnyholt Road via M5/M7 Cycleway

100 km+ ride from Yagoona West (near Dunc Gray Velodrome) to Sunnyholt Rd via M5 shoulder and M7 Cycleway.

 

M5 shoulder is high speed high traffic road for experienced riders only and not recommended in peak hours.

 

Less experienced riders (even kiddies) would be very safe just doing the M7 cycleway part from Prestons to Blacktown (a Maccas's to Maccas challenge ?)

 

Finding exit from M5 to M7 cycleway is tricky (and is different on return trip). M7 is an excellent 38 km long cycleway. It is completely segregated from traffic, with no traffic crossing at all in its length. Poor signage can make it tricky to follow for a newby near various exit points/undercrossings.
