EuroVelo 6 Esztergom to Budapest, Hungary Official Route

Official EuroVelo 6 route from Esztergom to Budapest along the Danube river. This route uses bike paths where available. There are a few short sections on moderate traffic roads outside of Budapest. This route has two ferry crossings of the Danube river. One crossing to Szob, on the north/east bank of the Danube. Then a second ferry at Vác crosses back to the west side of the Danube. There is a very nice bike path between Szob and Vác so it is worth the two ferry rides. Vác is a cute town. Be sure to go into the old town square before taking the ferry.
