This is a very urban route with considerable traffic. You can cut some distance off of the route by using Portland Avenue through Bloomington, but 12th has much less traffic.

Start out by by jogging east to Garfield, go north to syndicate and then 92nd street. Go right on 92nd to 12th Ave. Go left (north) on 12th all the way to 64th street. Be careful crossing over 494 - heavy traffic area. At 64th go right and take that to Bloomington Ave. On Bloomington, go north (left). You will cross 62 and the traffic is generally light here. At 60th, go left and make your way back to 12th and continue north. At 47th Street take a left. When you hit Park Avenue go right (north). Follow Park all the way into downtown. You will go left on 9th street. This is a heavy traffic road, but there is a bike lane. At Marquette go right and this will take you to 6th street. Take a right at 6th and you are there.
