ELECTRIC St. This grassy divided road which connects Detroit, Lincoln Park, and Wyandotte, used to accommodate the Detroit, Monroe & Toledo Short Line Railway, a streetcar line that ran all the way to Toledo. (Bikers with speakers might want to blast some Eddy Grant here.)

JEFFERSON AVENUE is the oldest road in Wayne County. Once known simply as the River Road, it was a path used by Native people before the area was colonized by Europeans.

COUNCIL POINT PARK This 27-acre park sits astride the upper Branch of the Ecorse River and was the site of Chief Pontiac’s war council in 1763, where plans were made to attack the British at Fort Detroit. In the 1980s a toxic chemical spill related to local steel production necessitated extensive cleanup before converting the land to a park, but it now features baseball and soccer fields as well as an inline skating rink and extensive walking trails.
