TCT Alternative/Elko towards Fernie via Mt. Broadwood Conservancy

This alternative route to River Road takes the traveler through the Mt. Broadwood Conservancy which highlights the Wigwam Flats and the the Purple Canyon of the Wigwam. A spur is inserted in the track to take travelers down to a gorgeous and seldom seen viewpoint of the Purple Canyon. This alternative segment would add 17 km to the Elko Fernie segment via River Road. Also an additional 1000' of elevation gain is added in this segment. Close to Elko some sections of the route are rough and would require walking bikes for a short bit.
