Lowther Estate, Askham Fell, Heughscar Hill loop

A fairly gentle scenic loop through the Lowther Estate up to Askham Fell and Heughscar Hill. Start and Finish at Brougham Hall car park (free). Scenic route through Lowther Estate alongside River Lowther and then passed Castle. Heading South out to Whale and then following bridleway routes to Askham Fell and then on to Heughscar Fell (great views of Ullswater).  The 1st part of the downhill run from Heughscar Hill to Askham village was spectacular and like riding on carpet.  I rode a MB although it might be possible on a gravel bike.
