All routes verified by Hertfordshire County Council Rights of way map for Bridleways, Permissive Bridleways, Restricted Byways, and Byways. *Along the Byway up to Clothall is a track cross road near a fenced utility substation. Leading off to the right is a track up to Weston, this is a Permissive bridleway connection to the Hertfordshire Way Bridleway. On the OS map it is marked as a 'track'. But it is marked at the top of the hill, and not at the bottom. *Lye Lane in Wood End on the OS Map is a dead end Bridleway, but according to the council it is a full Bridleway parallel to the footpath. It is even marked on the foot bridge after the sheep field. (Ordnance Survey Maps required: 193 - Luton & Stevenage; and 194 - Hertford & Bishop's Stortford).
