Gran Carril Litoral links up seaside paths, promenades, and quiet streets into roughly 40 km of coast‑hugging riding. It’s mostly easy going, with a handful of short ramps and overpasses adding about 480–500 m of total up and down.

Expect a lot of dedicated cycleway, plus calm streets and park paths, with a few quick busy-road connectors—stay sharp there. Surfaces are mostly asphalt and concrete, with some paving stones and the occasional boardwalk, which can be slick when wet.

Ride the whole thing or hop in for shorter chunks. It works for relaxed spins, family rides, and low-stress commuting, with plenty of chances for beach breaks and café stops along the way.

Tips: go early to avoid promenade crowds, keep an eye out for pedestrians in shared sections, and bring a bell and lights. Coastal breezes can pick up—plan for a headwind one way and a tailwind the other. The route rides well in either direction and has lots of places to join or leave as you go.
