Defiance en bici

For the most part, our roads were excellent zero traffic farm roads until arriving in Fort Wayne, when St Joe Rd, St Joe Center Rd, and Washington Center Rd were all terrible with little or no shoulder and tons of traffic. There was a sidewalk available to ride on for much of the time on St Joe Center and Washington Center. All of the route was paved with one short section on Antwerp Rd, that was OK with hard packed dirt. Early in the ride, we had our way blocked by a stationary train. As a result, we had to backtrack a little and took a slightly altered route from what we'd intended. Along Antwerp, we saw a number of horse drawn buggies (maybe as many as eight or ten), such as we’d seen a month or so ago in upstate New York when we’d seen just one or two.
