Excursión ciclista de un día de Szentendre a Budapest

Set out from the picturesque town of Szentendre, famous for its colorful Baroque houses and thriving art scene, and pedal your way south towards the vibrant heart of Budapest. This roughly 28 km ride mostly follows the scenic Danube, offering river views and a laid-back atmosphere.

The route is incredibly bike-friendly – expect mostly smooth, paved cycleways (about 62% is dedicated bike path and over 70% is asphalt), making it a relaxed jaunt for all levels. The terrain is gently rolling, with around 125 meters of ascent – just enough to stretch your legs, but nothing too strenuous.

As you approach Budapest, the skyline opens up, leading you right into the city center, rich with history, thermal baths, and lively cafés. This is a favorite weekend ride for locals, and there are plenty of spots along the way to stop for a coffee or snack with river views.
