Kick off your ride in Siófok, the lively “party capital” of Lake Balaton. After soaking up the buzz along the waterfront, you’ll cruise west on mostly paved roads and smooth cycleways. This 65 km journey hugs the southern shore and curls around the lake’s shimmering expanse, with a few rolling hills (expect a total ascent of about 370m, but nothing too scary).

You’ll travel mostly on quiet roads, so there’s plenty of space to enjoy the lake views, countryside, and the reed-fringed shore. Take a breather in Balatonfüred—grab ice cream or splash your feet in Hungary’s famous lake before the final push.

The route ends across the water on the Tihany Peninsula. Famous for its historic Benedictine Abbey and fragrant lavender fields, Tihany is a dreamy spot to relax (and maybe devour a chimney cake). The entire ride is a great mix of lake vibes and rural calm, perfect for a chilled-out cycling day!
