This scenic cycling route takes you from the charming spa town of Balatonfüred to the historic city of Keszthely, covering just over 76 km along the north shore of Lake Balaton. You’ll be riding mostly on dedicated cycleways (over half the route!), and almost the entire journey is on smooth asphalt—perfect for a relaxed roll or a quicker pace.

Starting in Balatonfüred, famous for its lakeside promenade, 19th-century villas, and fizzy medicinal waters, you’ll follow peaceful lake views through vineyards and holiday villages. Expect gentle rolling hills totaling a manageable 415 meters of ascent—you’ll get your legs moving, but nothing too crazy.

Arriving in Keszthely, you can’t miss the grand Festetics Palace and the lively town center. The last kilometers bring you right into the heart of one of Hungary’s oldest towns.
