Your cycling adventure kicks off in the charming coastal town of Otranto, on the eastern tip of Italy. Known for its stunning beaches and historic sites, it's a perfect spot to start your journey. As you pedal out of Otranto, you'll find yourself on mostly quiet roads, providing a peaceful escape through the picturesque Salento countryside.

The ride is about 55 kilometers and is best spent soaking up the Mediterranean scenery. With a gentle ascent of around 222 meters and a descent of nearly 175 meters, you’ll experience some slight changes in elevation that add a touch of variety to your ride.

Around 65% of the route is on smooth asphalt, offering a comfortable ride, although there might be sections where the surface details aren't fully available. Along the way, you’ll pass through the quaint villages and with luck, some lovely Italian scenery that can lead to a detour or two.
