Roll out from Orenburg and head north toward Prigorodnyy for an easy, mostly flat 23.7 km spin. Orenburg sits on the Ural River near the Europe–Asia divide and is famous for its delicate Orenburg shawls—worth a quick look before you go. The ride uses predominantly quiet roads (about 60%) with sections of farm tracks, so expect a mix of asphalt and gravel. Roughly a fifth of the route is unpaved, with noticeable gravel stretches, so a hybrid or gravel bike is ideal. Elevation gain is minimal (about 43 m up, 54 m down), making this a relaxed cruise with big-sky steppe views.

Keep an eye out for loose surfaces and occasional ruts; after rain it can be muddy. Traffic is light almost the whole way, with just brief busier connectors—stay visible. Water and snacks are smart to bring as services thin out beyond the city edge.

Prigorodnyy is a quiet suburban settlement of Orenburg—good place to wind down, grab a small shop snack, and enjoy the calm countryside feel before heading back.
