This route takes you from the small village of Khokhryaki to the bustling city of Izhevsk, covering just over 15 km—a great ride if you’re looking for a bit of countryside with a city finish. Expect a bit of a roller coaster, with 151 meters of climbing and descending, but nothing too extreme. Most of your ride is on access and quiet roads, so it’s generally peaceful, perfect if you want to enjoy the scenery.

The surface varies quite a bit; there’s a good amount of paved and asphalt roads, but do be ready for some rougher patches—bring a bike that can handle the occasional unpaved section. As you approach Izhevsk, you’ll notice the pace pick up and the streets get busier.

Fun fact: Izhevsk is the capital of Udmurtia and is famous for being the birthplace of the AK-47, as well as its beautiful city pond and green spaces—so reward yourself with a stroll or some sightseeing at the end!
